Darius M. Vasquez has been an
agent with Farmers Insurance since June 2001. He is licensed in property, casualty, life,
and disability.
Darius is a member of the Tucson Chamber
of Commerce and is an active member in the local Tucson community. He
belongs to the University of Arizona Hispanic Alumni Association and is a
member of the Catholic diocese. Darius also supports the
American Red Cross by donating his blood 4 times per year. He has
been consistently donating since 2003. He also supports The Humane
Society of the United States, and is a true animal lover.
Darius graduated from the University of
Arizona with a BSBA in Economics, minor in Business Administration from
the Eller College of Business School in 1993. Darius earned a scholarship
at the University of Arizona by playing trumpet for Mariachi Arizona and was the
group's first official member. In addition, he was a walk-on high-jumper for the U
of A Track & Field team, clearing 6'83/4".
Darius was born in Inglewood, CA, but
raised in the Tucson area since 1972. He comes from a family of three
sisters, Denise, Melissa, and Annie, and his parents, Manuel and Rosemary,
live in southern Arizona. He graduated from Sahuarita High School
where he holds the school high jump record at 6' 71/4",
and voted athlete of the year for his
senior class. He participated on the varsity football, basketball,
baseball, and track & field teams.
Darius enjoys weight lifting, running,
basketball, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and is a first degree black belt
in Tae Kwon Do. Currently he is studying the art of Muay Thai
Kickboxing. He is a huge fan of the L.A. Lakers, Dodgers, and Oakland
Raiders (even though the office is the color of the Denver Broncos).
Darius is also a member of the Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts, www.carnuts.org,
and owns two
collector vehicles (1965 Chevrolet Impala SS, 1968 Ford Bronco).
Darius also has done part-time modeling
since 1994 for Signature
Model Agency in Phoenix, as well as Barbizon
Southwest Agency
in Tucson, and has done numerous local and regional
commercials, as well as print work.
